Florida Welding West Indies Steel, originally a division of our parent company, Florida Welding Fabricators & Erectors, Inc., has been serving South East Florida and the Caribbean Islands since 1973.
In 1973, Florida Welding started with just two employees and has since grown to more than fifty. In 1989, we came to the Caribbean after Hurricane Hugo devastated the islands in the hopes of helping rebuild. By 1992, our presence in the Virgin Islands had grown and we decided to make a permanent home in St. Croix and incorporated "West Indies Steel".
Since those formative days, West Indies Steel has become one of the top contractors in the islands and is a licensed General Contractor on both St. Croix and St. Thomas.
West Indies Steel is proud to be an AISC Certified Steel Erector and a certified EDC supplier.
